Slim Shaker Kitchen Cabinets
Slim shaker kitchen cabinets in 6 lines: Luna and Luna Oak from Fabuwood, Sierra Paint and Sierra Stain from Legend, Contemporary and Contemporary Oak from TA Cabinetry. A flat recessed panel inside a frame about half the width of a classic shaker rail, in painted and stained finishes on all wood boxes. RTA or assembled. The narrow-frame branch of our shaker cabinets.
The door between shaker and slab
A classic shaker frame is 2 1/4" to 3" wide and reads traditional. A slab has no frame and reads modern. Slim shaker splits the difference with a frame around 1 1/2" or less: from across the room it looks nearly flat, up close it has a shadow line that gives the door depth. It is the door that lets a modern kitchen keep a little warmth, and a traditional house take a modern kitchen without a jolt. If you want the fully flat look, see modern and slab cabinets.
Our slim shaker lines
Luna is Fabuwood's slim shaker in Dove white, Indigo and Kona brown, with Luna Oak in a light Desert Oak stain. Sierra is Legend's, in all seven Legend paints including Aloe sage and Glacier blue-gray, plus the Legend stains. Contemporary from TA Cabinetry comes in Dove White and Tuscan Green, with Contemporary Oak in a pale white oak look; both ship RTA or assembled.
Slim shaker by color
White slim shaker (Luna Dove, Contemporary Dove White, Sierra White) is the modern-white kitchen done with a little texture; it is included under white shaker cabinets. For color, Sierra Aloe and Contemporary Tuscan Green are on the green page, Luna Indigo and Sierra Glacier under blue, and the oak versions under oak cabinets.
Hardware
The narrow frame suits slim hardware: thin bar pulls, small knobs or edge pulls. Oversized cup pulls fight the proportions. See cabinet hardware.
Order a sample door first
Frame width is exactly what a photo cannot show at scale. One sample door tells you whether slim shaker is the look or whether you want the classic frame.
