Green kitchen cabinets in 12 lines, from soft sage to deep olive and forest green, in shaker, slim shaker and slab doors. Painted hardwood and matte melamine finishes on all wood boxes, ready to assemble or assembled. One of the color families in our kitchen cabinets range.
Why green works where other colors date
Green is the one saturated cabinet color that reads as a neutral. It sits between the warmth of wood and the coolness of gray, which is why it pairs with both, and sage in particular behaves like a tinted gray in most light. A green kitchen looks deliberate without looking trendy, and it has stayed in demand longer than the navy wave that preceded it.
Sage, olive and forest
Sage is the light, gray-leaning green and the most requested; Legend's Aloe, on the Denali, Niagara, Rainier, Rushmore, Sierra and Teton paint lines, is our sage. Tuscan Green on TA Cabinetry's Contemporary slim shaker is a mid olive with more yellow in it, which warms up next to oak and brass. Verde Salvia on the Catalina, Ovela and Tuscany melamine lines is a matte sage on a frameless box for a European look. Deep forest and hunter greens are not in our current lines; the closest is a dark olive, and black-green combinations are covered under black and dark cabinets.
Where to put green
Full-room green works in sage because it is light enough to keep a kitchen open. Olive and darker greens are best on an island or lower run under white uppers, or on a single wall of tall cabinets. Green with a stained wood island, see wood and oak cabinets, is the most common pairing we see.
Door styles and hardware
Green shaker is the farmhouse direction; the Legend lines and Timeless Shaker frames all take Aloe. Green slim shaker or slab, Contemporary and Rushmore, pushes modern; see modern and slab cabinets. Unlacquered or antique brass is the classic hardware on green; matte black keeps it current. Both are in our cabinet hardware range.
Order a sample door first
Green shifts more than any color except gray. North light pulls it blue, warm bulbs pull it yellow, and a wood floor changes it again. Order the sample and look at it at two times of day.
