Under Cabinet & Cabinet Lighting
Under cabinet lighting puts light right on the counter where you work, and cabinet lighting shows off glass-front and open shelves. Planning a system
Low-voltage LED systems such as Hafele Loox run on 12 V: each light plugs into a driver or distributor box, which plugs into the wall. Plan the driver location first, then measure the cord runs to each light, and stay within the same system so the connectors match. The Loox 12 V extension lead and Loox5 6-way distributor are common add-ons.

Questions
What is the best under cabinet lighting?
For most kitchens, an LED strip or puck light system on a 12 V driver. Strips give even light along the counter; pucks give pools of light. Pick one system so drivers and connectors match.
Are LED cabinet lights plug-in or hardwired?
Both exist. Many low-voltage systems plug a driver into an outlet; others are wired by an electrician. Check the product details.
Can I mix brands of cabinet lights?
It's best not to. Connectors and voltages differ between systems such as Hafele Loox and Tresco.
