Some are decorative only. If a corbel will support a countertop or shelf, use one rated for the load or add a hidden steel bracket.
What wood should I choose?
Match the species of your cabinets for stain-grade work, or use paint-grade wood or resin if you'll paint.
Do decorative wood pieces come finished?
Most are unfinished so you can stain or paint them to match.
