Floating Shelves
Solid wood floating shelves from Omega National, with the hidden hardware to mount them. Straight shelves come in 24" to 54" lengths in hickory, red oak, cherry, alder and paint-grade MDF, and curved-end shelves are 2-1/2" thick and 10" deep in 24" to 48" lengths.
Choosing a floating shelf
- Length: leave a few inches of wall on each side, or run the shelf wall to wall in a niche or between cabinets.
- Wood: match the species to your cabinets, or choose MDF to paint.
- Mounting: fasten the bracket into studs; the shelf slides over it so nothing shows.
